Pennington Crisis

Home How Pennington Got Garbage Trucks on Main St. Pictures and Videos What you can do About

What you can do to help

Nearly everyone I talk to who has seen Pennington's garbage truck display agrees that it looks terrible. Yet Pennington's city council maintains that displaying garbage trucks along Main Street is acceptable. The problem is simply that we are busy and making your  opinion heard requires an investment of time. Most people are simply unwilling to write a letter or go to council meetings to stand up for what's right if it doesn't directly impact them on a  daily basis.

If this website has raised your awareness about this issue, in my opinion that's a good start. However, in order to make difference we need to spread the word about this violation of commen sense and community values. Here's what I suggest you can do to improve Pennington.

How Much You CareWhat you should do
I care a little. Garbage trucks probably shouldn't be parked alongside Main St.
  • Tell others about this website
  • Strike up a conversation about Pennington's garbage trucks at your next wine and cheese party.
I care about this issue a lot.Write to your elected officials and tell them what you think.
